Diabetes is a chronic disease that can lead to vision loss and blindness3

In people living with diabetes, DR occurs when too much sugar in the blood causes damage to the blood vessels, leading to a leakage of fluid in the retina.4

This fluid can cause swelling in the central part (macula) of the eye, known as edema. This serious eye complication is called DME.5

Janssen is investigating therapeutic innovations that aim to improve the lives of patients with diabetic eye disease, such as DME and DR, which are the leading causes of vision loss globally.6,7

Leveraging Janssen's expertise and legacy in pioneering innovative therapies, we strive to change the lives of those impacted by retinal diseases.
